Jsky’s Motivational Message at Chanelle McCleary’s Queen Inspiration Brunch

On Sunday, Big Brother and Instagram legend Chanelle McCleary hosted her first ever Queen Inspiration Brunch event at Cloud 23, Hilton Manchester. She arrived in spectacular fashion wearing a sheer pink and feather number hand in hand with her best friend Naked Beach star Jsky who donned his latest creation; a t-shirt in defence of the Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex with an image of her as the queen as inspired by illustrator Tim O’Brien featuring the message “Leave Megan Alone” as inspired by the 2007 Chris Crocker viral video “Leave Britney Alone”.

Guests arrived to the sounds of local Manchester legendary DJ Carlton Delingo, someone known for playing at a number of the city’s celebrity affairs including events for Scott Thomas and celeb haunt Bijou Club.

Tables each featured a white blossom tree centre piece adorned with jewels and cupcakes and the stage featured a giant white flower wall. Young aerial hoop dancers performed an array of visually stunning tricks whilst local celebrity magician Brad Magic had guests shrieking in bewilderment and amazement at each shocking magic trick and stunt.

The event featured live music by X Factor star Kiera Weathers and local talent Sydney, relationship advice for women from Lyd Fit, makeup tutorials from Cosmetic Aesthetics, a catwalk show from local clothing brand Mirror Image featuring an array of models of all shapes and sizes, and a motivational speech from Jsky.

Highlights from Jsky’s motivational speech on self believe, overcoming expectations, being more than you would believe and beating the odds to be better than your environment

“I challenge you to be more than other people’s expectations of you. I challenge you to be more than you think of yourself.”

“For the longest time I had to believe the opposite of what a lot people thought of me.”

“I had to believe in myself so much that no matter how times I was told no, or that I wasn’t tall enough, or that I didn’t have the right look, or that I was ugly, or that I was wasting my time and I was never going to make it…that it didn’t stop me.”

“Someone else’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality”

“In other words I am not who you think I am, I am who I decide to be.”

“We have over 1,000 thoughts a day in our head. Not all of them are true. You get to decide which of them to believe.”

“Your thoughts literally become your reality.”

“How you communicate with yourself will in turn tell the world how to communicate with you.”

Activities included a most embarrassing story competition and an emotional and heartfelt Q&A with Chanelle McCleary which included a guest trying for IVF searching for hope from the reality TV star as well as questions on surviving a bad relationship and overcoming negative thoughts.

Chanelle McCleary addressing the room

“This week has been incredibly difficult for me in my personal life. At one point I didn’t know if I could actually go through with this event. But I did this for you guys.”

“I get sent so many amazing messages from my fans about how much I have inspired you and helped you, but you guys really do help me and give me purpose.”

“I can’t thank you enough for the love and support you have shown. I couldn’t have done this event without you. And also thank you to Rich and Nana Viv. You both mean the world to me and I couldn’t have got through this week without you both. My friends and family mean everything to me.”

Goodie bags laden with queen themed luxury treats ranging from a Missguided.com perfume Babe Power, Mark Hill brushes, Doll Beauty eyelashes, bottles of Gordons Pink Gin, Pink Cake-pops, Organza natural skincare highlighters, skin products, Swizzles sweets and pink cupcakes. Guest were also treated to bottomless pink champagne.

The event featured a charity raffle hosted by Hollyoaks’ legend Jazmine Franks who also featured recently on a positivity panel with Chanelle at Jsky’s In Conversation event last month at FoodWell, Manchester. Prizes included a beginner nail course worth over £300, luxury beauty treatments, cosmetic sets, champagne, shopping vouchers, and perfumes amongst other things. The money raised will be split between charities for mother and baby hostels, and homeless hostels with details to follow on her social media in the next few weeks.

The event closed with a harm-warming message from Nana Viv, who spoke on how proud she was of Chanelle and how far she had come. Gifting her with a beautiful bunch of flowers and a bottle of champagne Nana Viv whipped the room into a rapturous “3 cheers for Chanelle” with each “hip-hip-hooray” louder than the one before. Guests left feeling uplifted and inspired with an outpouring of Instagram stories and messages of support continuing into the next day.

Her next Queen Inspiration Brunch event is rumoured to take place next year.
